Back from the Cold

Well we've started the recovery process from our trip. I can't believe my husband actually beat me posting about it. Oh well. He also mentioned putting some pictures up but I will warn you (and him) they will be censered first! We had a great time and can't wait to do it again! I will say however that I can check learning to ski off of my list. It is NOT my sport. Let's just say the young man operating the lift had quite an entertaining morning watching myself and another who shall remain nameless get off of the snow. We were able to laugh at ourselves, and that's the most important thing! However, if said husband decides to surprise wife with another trip, please make it a tropical location!! A huge happy birthday to husband as well. I am now married to a 30 year old. Uggh! Since he's working afternoons this week, we'll probably celebrate Saturday!

Found your blog! Sounds like you guys had fun! I fall enough as it is so I don't think skiing would be my sport. By the way, I went to write the church shower down on my calendar and that Sunday is Father's Day???? I didn't know if you guys knew that.

Crap, Crap, Crap! Let me think of something! Your granite city shower is the 10th? Maybe the 3rd? Will that work?

Glad you guys had a good time...I completely forgot that Richard's birthday was around the same time as mine...just forgot the date. Yes, I turned 30 too...It's not that bad...just felt like I turned a day older! And we are officially in the "prime" of our lives! Can't expect a 20-something to understand! HA!

Melanie,

It sounds like you had a good time. Let me just say, in regard to skiing, "AMEN I am right there with you!!!" It is not my sport either. I enjoy watching others fall and crash than actually doing it myself. Plus, when I just watch everyone else my body doesn't seem to hurt as much.

I'm so glad you guys had so much fun. Just being away is great! I'm with you on skiing. At least you got to the slopes!! The one time we went skiing, we took a lesson first. And by the time we were finished with the lesson, both of our knees were killing us so bad from learning to stop that we decided that was enough and never even went up the lift! We just sat outside and enjoyed the snow!! It was beautiful!
